Christmas Eve look {Tutorial}

Hola my lovelies! First and foremost I'd like to thank each and everyone who participated (and still are! there's time until the 23rd to enter) in my giveaway, especially for your birthday wishes and wonderful comments and words of encouragement, it truly means a lot to me that you think so fondly of me ♥
As promised here's a photo tutorial for a Christmas Eve look. Of course the most requested makeups involved purple, gold and glitter, but this comment by Steph striked me as one of the most original ones:

Even though a few of you mentioned that smokey eyes can be tricky (and I agree to that), practice makes perfect, my darlings ^^ I chose to do a basic smokey look that it's quite easy to recreate. Onto the tutorial then, hope you all like it!

1- Use a black pencil as a base for the entire lid and blend it away.
2- Then, using a windshield wiper motion, apply a matte light brown colour, one or two shades darker than your natural skin tone, on your eye socket. This is going to help blend the green colour easier and better.
3- Take a dark forest green eyeshadow and pat it all over the black base, overlapping just a tad the light brown.
4- Blend until there's no visible harsh lines.
5- You can darken even more the outer corners using a black colour, blend it inwards.
6- Apply green glitter on the lid. I don't have loose glitter so I used a lighter shimmery green instead.
7- With a small detailer brush, apply the green to your lower lashes.
8- If you're comfortable doing so, tightline your entire eye, or if you don't like doing so, just line your waterline with a black pencil.
9- Apply plenty of mascara.
10- Highlight the inner corners.
11- And don't forget to highlight your brows too.
12- Fill them in if you need to.

13- For blush choose a shimmery coral colour.
14- Highlight the tops of your cheeks, bridge of your nose and Cupid's Bow.
15- The eyes are quite strong so go for a pinkish lip gloss. And you're done!
¡Y listo!

Where I live we start celebrating Christmas on the 24th, when the clock hits 12 we toast and open the presents that 'Papá Noel' left under the tree when nobody was looking ^^
How do you spend this special day in your country? I'd love to know!.
Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, I hope you have an amazing time with your loved ones.
¡Me encantaría saber!
Aunque no celebres Navidad, espero que pases un momento maravilloso junto a tus seres queridos.
Merry Christmas ~ Feliz Navidad ~

P.S. Sorry I didn't have a fancy hair do to go with this makeup, but in case you didn't know, on the 13th I sprained both my wrist and ankle and I can't really use either the blow dryer or the flat iron with only one hand : /

  9. What a pretty look! The green glitter looks so festive and fun, and it's a bit of a twist on the usual purple, blue or brown smoky eye looks that we're used to seeing. Your blush gives you a warm, radiant complexion too :)
